Description
This album of fiddle tunes, bluegrass standards and original tunes features some of the finest pickers in the business.
Dead Center was produced and banjo-ed by Sammy Shelor (of Lonesome River Band) with Wyatt Rice on guitar (Tony Rice Unit), Jacob Eller on Bass (Sierra Hull and Highway 111), Jeff Midkiff on mandolin, Will Farmer (Blue Moonshine), Joe Prichard and Shannon Jones (The Recipe) on harmonies. The CD also features Buddy Pendleton (an early Bill Monroe fiddler) on a twin-fiddle tune.
Recording was done at Mountain Fever studios and mixing/mastering at Blackwater Recording, in the heart of southwest VA’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Available for digital download through CDBaby and iTunes.
